Who can live at The Pines
he Pines provides Equal Housing Opportunity for people over age 62 and people with handicaps or disabilities. We do not discriminate in the rental of housing, the provision of services, or in any other matter, based on race, color, religion, sex, ancestry, national origin, disability or status as a recipient of public assistance.
Income limits
The income limits for eligibility at The Pines are below:

To compare income with these guidelines, the applicant can add together his/her income from all sources: employment, disability, pension, Social Security, interest from all bank deposits & from all bonds or stocks - and (in the event a home is owned) 2% of the equity, after accounting for the sales commission to be paid when/if the house is sold.
Any financial asset (like a home or a substantial amount of money) given to another person is considered to still be available to the applicant for a period of two years from the transfer date.
The tenant's portion of rent is 30% of average monthly income.
