Administrator David Howe retires
Long time administrator David Howe retired in the fall of 2005 after 33 years of guiding the evolution of the Pines. We salute him for his life's work and wish him all the best in his new pursuits..."See you on the train, David!"
The Pines in Ocean Park is a People Place and celebrates the gifts that each resident brings to this Community for Retirement Living. April 28 the staff hosted an ice cream social for about 50 residents who help with various functions - from sorting mail, to gardening to serving the noon-day meal.
A noon-day meal is served at The Pines, A Community for Retirement Living in Ocean Park. In addition to the nutritious meal and the sociability of dining together is the great feeling a resident gets when he/she is welcomed by greeters Pat Usher or Linda Powell. The cost of the meal program is only $120 per month.
Linda and Wayne Powell live in the Community Building at The Pines in Ocean Park where Wayne is Resident Maintenance Coordinator and primary person responsible for the 24/7 on call service. Together they keep the building clean for the many functions that help build a sense of caring community among the residents.
Volunteer Marie Veilleaux enjoys her volunteer service in the Dining Room at The Pines. Marie lives in apt 115, moving here all the way from Moscow, Maine that is!
